PhP100: Being a total cheapskate
Friday, June 3, 2011
I always like to go out anytime of the day, especially at night, and just bring a 100-peso bill (equivalent to $2.50), a pack of cigarettes, my lighter, a handkerchief, candies, my lip balm, a bottle of water, two spliffs, a pen and a small notebook. I would go out with or without somebody to see with. I would, most of the time, wander around anywhere: UP campus, the city park, in Technohub, in Cubao Expo, or anywhere I could see people and feel my solidarity at those moments.
I would buy a bottle of beer from a convenience store, settle down somewhere quiet, light my spliff and write my thoughts down. It feels good watching the whole world moving while sitting down on a corner and absorbing everything that is on sight. Most of the time, I would see peculiar scenes, things that don't usually happen in a normal day. I would also write it down, and feel good about it. It feels nice looking at people's eyes, and Ill be having a feeling that they are weirded out. Everything is nice --- soul searching, day dreaming, while watching an infinite, sometimes story-less, movie that casts every person living in this world.
Before going home, I would always buy a cheap buy-one-take-one burger and a bottle of soda. I'll smoke a cigarette after consuming everything, and would walk myself home, feeling good, as if I had a break from all the bullshits that life gives me.
Ps. Photo isn't relevant. Hahahaha~
